So obviously I’ve abandoned 30 days. Dammit self! But seriously, the Bug in the hospital for a week is a decent excuse, right?

Since we’ve been home I’ve done pretty much nothing but sew and clean (good Lord with this! I feel the need to actually keep up with it now so the Bug doesn’t get sick again but I hate it more than words can explain) and surf the wonderful internets. I’m sure I’ve rambled on and on about this previously but I seriously have to have a mix around that is fairly new and that makes me want to turn it on…and when it’s on I can’t just sit so I’ll get up and head to the corner of the living room that is my little work space and sew. Lots of things have to happen before I feel like I want to work honestly, and this is just part of it. Anyway, some new additions to the mix in the last few days since I last checked in…

So there’s some of the tunes that are keeping me at the sewing table and here’s what has come of my sitting there, all slumped over. Yesterday was the first day that wasn’t spent putting in time on some bags that are half done – I started one in the morning and it was finished by dinner. I think I’ll keep this pattern in use, maybe just vary up the sizes, because I think once I get it down they’ll be fairly easy to put together…

{Skinny Love Bag, front and center}

I’m seriously stoked about that gigantor bag – the ‘love’ is cut from a vintage pillow case and around the top is some ticking that I added decorative stitches too. The ‘love’ is quilted up too and I added a real thick stitch around the letters so they stand out more. I seriously dig that bag…

And check this:

Alright, I get that it’s kind of tough to see what’s going on here but it’s the underside of the front of the bag. But as I was putting it all together I thought “damn man, I really don’t need that fabric, I could just write all this out and dude, that’s way faster!”. So next time I think I may try that, on a smaller bag like this one because apparently not everyone likes to carry around huge totes that are large enough to be classified as a suitcase. Crazy, I know…

Enjoy the day friends! I might pop back in later. Maybe :)
